Vote for removal

Hi,

Please add some option where people can vote for removal of outdated, malware, stealing scripts.

For exmaple if a script receives 3 times as much "Remove" votes as "Keep" votes, after a total of 100 votes, the script gets deleted.

userstyles.org has a nice 'obsoleted by' notification (see: http://userstyles.org/styles/1761). Maybe we could have two notifications: one from the author, another from the community (think stackoverflow.com).

I just commented on/reviewed a script that is completely outdated as the feature he implements is now widely available on the targeted website!!!

I voted for this but I agree that unlisting (or perhaps something like marking them as "deprecated" and giving users an extra warning before installing them - see http://userscripts.uservoice.com/pages/general/suggestions/6176-implement-some-form-of-deprecated-tag-for-old-scripts) would be better. If they are "unlisted" there should still be some way to access them if necessary.

I vote for removal of duplicated scripts and there should have something automatic avoid people from uploading duplicated scripts based on CRC32, MD5, SHA1 or whatever.

I agree that unlisting is better. I think this will be part of the change that will allow authors to mark their scripts as deprecated.

I agree with znerp here. Deleting scripts would disadvantage people who use the script and also the maker if he/she want to update it later on.

I would say that making them unlisted would be a better idea than actually deleting them.

this is a great idea I just commented on 3 scripts today for the site mail.com
that have not been updated since 2006
